Ninety percent of the world has access to only 10% of the world’s medical resources.

At this very moment, in distant developing countries, children are suffering and dying from conditions routinely treated in the United States. Most developing countries still lack access to pediatric critical care resources, especially surgical care.

The harsh truth is that where a baby is born is often the deciding factor between life and death, or the opportunity to live a full, productive life.

But now there's an organization dedicated to ending the needless suffering of these critically ill children -- the International Hospital for Children (IHC).

We are a nonprofit humanitarian organization linking worldwide pediatric surgical, diagnostic and preventative resources to heal critically ill children in developing countries. IHC also helps build indigenous health care capacity--saving lives now while transforming pediatric health outcomes for years to come.

IHC was recently profiled by the Global Health Council for advances made in the Dominican Republic. Click here to watch our short video.
