The outcome for children is healing. The outcome for their countries is self-reliance.

Through our international network of medical partners, IHC provides the critical skills, financial resources and organizational foundation to care for the surgical needs of children in developing countries. IHC sends pediatric surgical and diagnostic teams to our partner countries and brings complex cases for treatment to our growing network of US and international partner hospitals.

Our goal is to raise the level of indigenous pediatric critical care capacity in our partner countries. Doctors and nurses in these countries stand ready. They are eager to learn specialized pediatric procedures firsthand from IHC’s surgical and diagnostic teams.

Our teams teach and mentor these physicians and nurses, so that some day they won’t have to wait for an outside team to treat their country’s children.
